About Us

Since 1986, Metropolitan String Quartet has been providing elegant music for special occasions: weddings, dinners, parties, and corporate events. The quartet has performed concerts in the Midwest and is a touring group for the Nebraska Arts Council. In addition, the group has performed for many dignitaries including President and Mrs. Clinton and Barbara Bush. With a large repertoire and vast experience Metropolitan String Quartet can help to make your special occasion memorable.

Teri Cambron, violin

Teri has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, and a Master of Music degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has performed with the Sioux City Symphony, the Hastings Symphony, and in many concerts and national touring groups including: Carpenters, Eddy Arnold, Wayne Newton, Henry Mancini, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Wendy Perry, violin

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Bemidji State University in Minnesota. She has performed with the Hastings Symphony, Sioux City Symphony, the Midland-Odessa Symphony, and at many church and community functions in Nebraska and Iowa. National touring appearances include Trains-Siberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroller, and Elton John.

Lynne Truman, viola

Lynne received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She has performed with the Quad City Symphony in Davenport, Iowa, the Kokomo Symphony in Kokomo, Indiana, the Virginia Beach Pops in Virginia, the Toledo Symphony in Toledo, Ohio, as well as the Lincoln Symphony and the Omaha Symphony orchestras. She has performed with Michael Buble, Quincy Jones, Joshua Bell, Moody Blues, and Burt Bacharach.

Mindy Dauner, cello

Mindy earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has performed for several national touring groups such Michael Buble, Kansas, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She performs with local artists and for musicals across Nebraska and Iowa. She is the orchestra director at Omaha South High School and has a string studio at SNJ Studios.
