The Metropolitan String Quartet was formed in 1986
in Omaha, Nebraska. The quartet has played many concerts
in the Midwest including programs across Nebraska as members
of the Nebraska Arts Council Touring Program. In addition
to providing music for many celebrations such as weddings
and receptions, they have played for President Bill Clinton,
First Lady Barbara Bush, Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton,
and many other dignitaries.

Teri
Cambron, violin, has a Bachelor of Music Education
degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa,
and a Master of Music degree from the University of
Nebraska at Omaha. She has performed with the Sioux
City Symphony and the Hastings Symphony orchestras and
has performed in shows and with touring groups throughout
the Midwest. Ms. Cambron teaches strings in the Omaha Public School district at Catlin Arts Magnet Center, an award winning elementary school. |

Wendy Perry,
violin, received her instrumental music education degree
from Bemidji State University in Minnesota. She has
performed with the Hastings Symphony, Sioux City Symphony,
the Midland-Odessa Symphony, as well as at many church
and community functions in Nebraska and Iowa. Ms. Perry
is an instrumental music teacher with the Omaha Public
Schools. |

Lynne Truman,
viola, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music
Education from the University of Iowa in Iowa City,
Iowa. She has played with the Quad City Symphony in
Davenport, Iowa, the Kokomo Symphony in Kokomo, Indiana,
the Virginia Beach Pops in Virginia, the Toledo Symphony
in Toledo, Ohio, as well as the Lincoln Symphony and
the Omaha Symphony orchestras. Ms. Truman teaches elementary
strings in Millard Public Schools. |

Christina Allred, cello, received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is pursuing her Masters Degree at UNO in cello performance. She has performed with the Heartland Philharmonic and Orchestra Omaha. She is a member of the local experimental, alternative musical project, Panang and performs regularly with them around the metro area. She actively records with local musicians on private labels and performs at various local area events as a solo performer and with ensembles. Ms. Allred is currently a Gifted and Talented Facilitator with Omaha Public Schools and is a faculty member of the Omaha Conservatory of Music. |
